The Dairy Center for the Arts is nationally recognized as a model example of urban renewal. The building was originally home to a dairy processing center, but has now been transformed into Boulder’s largest multi-disciplinary arts facility. The most recent phase of renovations, completed in 2017, included a glass-walled West Entry leading to supplementary gathering spaces, a concession/bar area and modern ticketing services for patrons. A flowing, curved roof nicknamed the “Ballerina Swoop” creates an inviting visual juxtaposition to the solid concrete block structure of this wonderful former industrial building.
