Pleasant Pool House
The Pleasant Pool House was an addition to an existing guest house on a residential property in Boulder. The 2,400 square-foot structure is a fusion of architecture and sculpture, notable for its unique undulating roof form. The structure includes changing rooms, a common shower and a powder room west of the pool, as well as a series of movable glass walls on the southwest side, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor environments. Buff pavers locally sourced from Loveland, CO stretch from the outdoor patio to the pool’s edge, becoming a deck and relaxation area. Tensile fabric on the ceiling provides an acoustic sponge for the space.
